It seems they expected 20,000 at the launch gig in front of St George's hall, and 50,000 actually made the effort and turned out. I also think it's why there's been so much controversy. We're a proud people wanting the year to be a wonderful showcase for the city - let's hope it turns out amazing! I have every feeling it will.
