Last night I scooted up the motorway to be guest speaker at the West Lancashire Women’s Business Network. Clare Joynson who’s the investment centre manager arranges these evenings and  runs the network, and what a dynamic network it is.

One lady I was speaking with told me how tough it is at the moment for her. She owns a large restaurant and she’s seen income along with customers tumble – however she’s  now diversifying and extending what she does to incorporate take away dinners and home catering – not easy she admitted but she knows she’s going to have to in order to survive.  

Meeting the ladies last night I was impressed by how hard working they were and how pragmatic there were too, facing the credit crunch with grit and determination…… oh and a bottle of white and some good friends ….
