Dear Lib Dem supporter. As you may know, there are no Liberal Democrat MPs in Wirral. 2005’s parliamentary elections in Wirral prove it’s a two horse race – Labour or Conservatives. I do hope when the next general election comes, probably 2010, I can have convinced you to vote Conservative.
For a long time local Lib Dem supporters said they wouldn’t change their vote, however, after the library debacle on Wirral, many now are saying they will never vote Lib Dem again.
The local Conservatives want to see a better local Government with local people having a greater say with what happens on Wirral. They want power to move away from Whitehall and Downing Street and back to the communities here in Wirral West.
As you may know, I stood as the Conservative parliamentary candidate in 2005. I always do the best I can to represent people, whether they voted for me or for the Liberal Democrats or, indeed any other party. To me, it’s community first and party politics second.
Lend your vote to me and, between us, we can help to bring an end to this hopeless Labour Administration. A vote for the Lib Dems at that election will be a wasted vote and will help to keep Labour in office.
